My sister and I were very pleased to receive your notice that our aunt Miriam's Medicaid application was approved. You were extremely helpful to us in the processing and forwarding of this application. We are both very grateful to you for all of your efforts and for your assistance in carrying the procedure through for us. We're glad to report that Miriam continues to be in good health and spirits. My 95 year old Mother moved to Boston nine months ago from Connecticut to reside near me at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center. I knew at that time that her remaining assets would provide for about six months of care and understood that a complicated process awaited me to apply for Masshealth benefits. HRCA assigned mother's case to Debi Young. At the beginning of the process a staff member in the financial services area told me that I was in good hands - that Debbie was very experienced, and a real pro! How right they were. I had kept meticulous financial records from the time my Father died but had no idea what would be required to compile all that was necessary for approval. Debi looked over all of our information and indicated whatever was missing or needed, always with confidence and clarity. She was responsive to all of my questions, with a wonderful demeanor. Last week we heard from the Division of Medical Assistance that Mother's application was approved. I feel so fortunate that Debi Young was my representative.
