The cost for processing the application is a flat fee of $750*, which comes from the patient's spendown. This fee is payable at the first meeting between a family member (or an applicant) and a trained and experienced Medi-Services field representative. There are no additional charges, regardless of the complexity of the application. Medi-Services continues working on the case until Medicaid is granted.

Our statistics show that if properly presented, 80% of families will pay Medi-Services directly. However, if the applicant does not have a spendown or, if the family will not pay the fee, the facility has the option to pay Medi-services directly.The fee for the facility paying Medi-Services directly to process the application is $575.
